It would be amazing to have a huge chunk of time to focus on a task, and to have the satisfaction of a job well done.
Since having children I have found that huge chunks of time are dedicated to children and family related activities, and other tasks that I need/ want to get done just aren’t able to have huge blocks of time allocated.
I have also found that it’s incredible what I can achieve in 10 minutes. I can start a task and get one thing done. I can clean part of the bathroom. I can do a 10 minute workout, or even just go for a 10 minute head clearing walk (by myself when someone else takes care of the kids….it can take 10 minutes just to get the kids ready to leave the house!).
10 minutes. I can focus on what I CAN do rather than all the things I “have” to do.
Because I am obsessed with all things wellness, I also relate the 10 minutes approach to more than just getting the housework done (or indeed looking for the cleaner I have been meaning to get).
10 minutes can be used to complete a Loving Kindness Meditation.
10 minutes can be used to contact a friend who you have been thinking about.
10 minutes can be used to complete a 10 minute workout, or a 10 minute yoga session, or go for a 10 minute walk, or a 10 minute run.
10 minutes can be used to look at that recipe book (or look online) for a healthier version of a meal you like (Shepherdess pie anyone?)
10 minutes, it’s easy to over look the time you have because of the time you don’t.

I have found with the people that I help that using minerals gives us a strong foundation to work with.

When you start to think in a downward spiral, or become distracted or focussing on negative “unwanted” thoughts - of the past, the present or the future you simply tell your brain “Useful Thoughts Only”
The trick is catching yourself in the act, but I suspect you may have a few (or even many) opportunities each day to practice this technique. The great thing is, even if you realise after quite a while that you have been riding the unhelpful thought train, you can stop at any time and tell yourself - USEFUL THOUGHTS ONLY.
